the work
three engagements. what they have in common is not a look. it is that each one was decided by something countable: a stylesheet that was 146 kilobytes, a colour that measured 3.05 to 1 and therefore could not carry text, a url whose traffic turned out to be english villages.
each file below carries the same ten parts, including the last one, which is what the work does not prove. that part is the reason to read the others.
- 01 as-built documentation and drafting, united states 2,077,562 bytes to 273,922 the image payload of the projects page, after build-time 400w and 800w variants and a srcset
the search figures are a baseline taken before the changes shipped. the comparison is due after 2026-09-10, so no result is claimed.
- 02 air quality hardware and dashboard, lithuania 136,870 bytes to 32,008 the whole landing page over the wire: html, css and inline javascript, gzipped
the site is not published at the moment, so none of this can be checked against a live url today. the figures were measured on the built output.
- 03 residential and commercial solar and battery, australia 146 kb to 4.1 kb the render-blocking stylesheet on every page, after removing an unused css framework layer
